MA in English Language Teaching (ELT)
The
primary goal of this goal of this course is to develop
trained Teachers of English as a Foreign Language
Duration:
One academic period of eighteen months divided into
four quarters. Classes’ starts 18 October 2009
Eligibility:
The basic requirements for all the candidates are
second class/ division in all examinations, starting
from SSC or its equivalent.
- 4 year BA (Hons) in English Language/ Literature/
Linguistics from a recognized University.
- 3 year BA (Hons) plus 1 year Masters in English
Language/ Literature/ Linguistics from a recognized
University.
- 2 year BA pass degree plus a two year MA degree
English Language/ Literature/ Linguistics from a recognized
University.
- Practicing teachers of English ( Currently Teaching
English at primary, secondary, higher secondary/ or
other levels at recognized institute) who have 4 years
of territory (university) education in any subject
and at least two years of experience in teaching English
(to be certified by the head of the Institute)
Note:
- All applicants must be proficient in English at
an advanced level. Their Language proficiency will
be screened through an admission test. The date of
the admission test will be announced later.
- This is a full time course. Students will be expected
to attain classes between 9am to 5 pm.
